Dr Geoff Orme and Associates was founded by Dr Geoff Orme P.H.D. Dr Geoff Orme is now retired. 

 

Geoff is a registered psychologist with over twenty five years’ experience delivering a range of transition and support programs to corporate customers in Australia and New Zealand. The major areas of consulting work include Critical Incident Management, Employee Assistance Services, Mediation, and also return to work services following psychological injury. Dr Geoff Orme has also designed and conducted a wide range of workplace training programs around Emotional Intelligence, Resilience-building, Conflict Resolution, and Managing Trauma.

 

Geoff was retained as a principal provider to a range of corporations to aid recovery of personnel following a number of significant incidents in Australia including the Thredbo Landslide, Glenbrook Rail Incident, Brisbane Floods, Christchurch earthquakes, Japan Tsunami, and various industrial incidents. He was the consulting psychologist to Engineering Emergency Management, a disaster response agency which is part of NSW Public Works and which responds to domestic and overseas incidents. He has collaborated with the Dart Centre for Journalism and Trauma (Australasia), and is a member of the Roads and Maritime Service’s mediator panel. He is also a long-standing member of the Australian Psychological Society.

 

Geoff has also provided psychological services to military personnel and indigenous community members. He completed a PhD through the Centre for Traumatic Stress Studies and the University of Adelaide. He holds a position as adjunct senior fellow with the Centre for Military and Veteran’s Health and has published a number of papers in international peer-reviewed journals along with numerous Australian and international conference presentations, in the area of post deployment reintegration
